Broadening the range of use when riding with a Parawing doesn’t just come from advancements in the latest wings, the board plays a crucial part in take-off efficiency. Since the goal is free flight, this shape is crafted with pumpability and good turning control in mind, making it the ultimate weapon to shred thebumps. The pulled-in surfy outline, step tail and enhanced rail bevels reduce the bottom area for gooddisplacement of the water, so the foil can be pumped with the board still being on the water’s surface. This results in highly increased take-off efficiency, allowing to get up on foil with less power in the wing. The low rocker and front foot makes pumping between sections efficient and the reduced thickness with recessed stance area adds great control and a connected feel through turns. The board is equipped with front foot strap inserts and built in our lightweight Biax Carbon construction to keep swing weight to a minimum. The Paradox SLS is the ultimate toy to tackle the bumps with the Parawing, but with its surfy approach can be Prone Foiled, ridden with Foil Assist or simply used Wing Foiling with advanced level and Freefly focus. PARADOX vs. SKYBRID Both boards are mid-length Shapes, both work for a variety of disciplines like Wing, Parawing, Foil Assist and Prone Foiling (in small sizes). Here’s what sets the Paradox apart from the Skybrid: + Lower rocker: Paradox takes off earlier & pumps more efficient, which is important when downwinding - less controlled when going faster with the wing vs. Skybrid, which has the front foot higher. + Reduced bottom surface (more bevelled, pointy nose, step tail): Can be pumped out of the water through legs better vs. the wider bottom of the Skybrid, which offers more stability and ease of use in return. + More maneuverable/agile vs. Skybrid, making the Paradox the more surfy option for the more advanced rider. + Longer esp in bigger sizes. Adds glide for earlier take-off with Parawing. Smaller Volumes are similar in lengths - for more advanced riders / windier conditions. + Lighter construction (more like Crush/Midfish), with front strap option only, to avoid jumping - Skybrid can be jumped and ridden with both feet in straps! Parawingers and advanced Wing Foilers riding the wing flagged in small surf or river bumps – mainly strapless - will really like the Paradox, especially with slightly higher level. Wing Foilers of all levels and those riders going faster will benefit from the stability and control at speed of the Skybrid, especially when using footstraps and doing the occasional jump
